Top Five Best Restaurants in Orange Beach
Hands down, my favorite place for dinner in Orange Beach is the Louisiana Lagniappe. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Actually, it’s always been extraordinary. My favorite entree is the Seafood Lagniappe. Order this and you won’t be disappointed.
A new restaurant that is fast becoming a favorite is Cobalt. It’s located right next to Caribe Resort, so it’s a no brainer if you are staying there. Cobalt offers a little something for everyone with seafood, steaks, chicken, pasta and sandwiches. The oysters on the half shell are delicious.
For a more casual dinner, you can’t beat LuLu’s. It’s a great place to bring the kids and watch the boats float by. Catch some live local music and pick up a cool t-shirt on the way out.
A favorite lunch spot for our crew at Turquoise Place is the Shrimp Basket. It’s practically across the street and has the best shrimp po-boy I’ve ever had. The surprising thing is that they don’t serve remoulade sauce but the sandwich is so good that they don’t need to.
You have to try out the famous breakfast at Tacky Jack’s. It’s a nice little cafe-style spot right next to the more “rough around the edges” original Tacky Jack’s. The farmer’s omelet is their specialty but my favorite is the pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. Grab a table outside and enjoy breakfast al fresco.
Honorable Mention: I’ve heard great things about Cosmo’s but I have not had a chance to try it out myself. The rumor is that it’s a fun place for dinner and live music. Also, Geno’s Fresh Catch is said to have unbelievably fresh seafood dishes at a great price.
